Botox - The Gold Standard in Wrinkle Treatment

At DERMATOLOGIST we specialise in BOTOX treatment. Botox treatment relaxes muscles, prevents skin from creasing and causing wrinkles. It is effective for smoothing out expression-lines, such as frown and surprise-lines on the forehead and crow's-feet around the eyes, and turkey-neck – lines on the throat.

How Does Botox Work?

Botox works by relaxing the muscle responsible for causing contraction leading to wrinkle formation. Botox binds to the neurotransmitter (acetylcholine) resulting in a reduction of muscle activity and temporarily preventing contraction of the muscles responsible for the formation of wrinkles.

Is Botox Safe?

Yes. It is FDA-approved. Botox is a neurotoxin that causes muscles to relax. Doctors have used Botox for many years to improve the cosmetic appearance of facial lines and wrinkles. Botox also has some medical uses to treat various symptoms and conditions.

How Botox Works

Difference Between Botox and Fillers

Botox

Botox temporarily relaxes the muscles that cause wrinkles, mostly in the upper face (forehead, frown lines, crow’s feet).

Fillers

Fillers add volume beneath the skin to lift and smooth deeper lines, restore contours, or enhance lips and cheeks.
